    JOB SUMMARY Bodybuilding.com’s Private Label Brand Manager will lead brand and marketing strategy for a growing portfolio of nutritional supplements, fitness accessories, and fitness and lifestyle apparel under multiple brands produced by Bodybuilding.com. This highly collaborative position will be instrumental in developing strong processes, partnerships and integration with cross-functional teams throughout the organization. This person will gain a deep understanding and alignment on pricing, promotion, presentation and product performance in order to develop and drive private label brand positioning and promotional planning.

     

     

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·        Establishes professional relationships with key internal stakeholders and private label partners

    ·        Meets or exceeds margin, sales and strategic objectives for assigned private label brands 

    ·        Develop quarterly plans for Private Label brands including marketing, merchandising and promotional opportunities as well as external opportunities.

    ·        Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Merchandising, Category Management, Finance, Digital Publishing, and Purchasing

    ·        Work closely with purchasing to ensure inventory levels and forecasts are accurate

    ·        Work closely with category managers to ensure that brands are hitting required goals to grow the category; tweak and provide feedback to partners as needed to ensure these goals are met

    ·        Responsible for monitoring industry trends to ensure private label products are aligned with customer and market requirements

    ·        Become an expert on BodyBuilding.com’s products, community, and customers

    • Research, analyze and present consumer insights, competitive product reviews and private label product trends.
    • Develop and maintain messaging and style guidelines for each private label brand and socialize them throughout the organization.
    • Manage comprehensive marketing plan for innovation and seasonal launches, special promotions and campaigns.
    • Partner with brand category specialists and merchant team to understand key initiatives and identify opportunities to integrate relevant story-telling for private label brands and products.
    • Work with creative services, advertising, digital and communication teams to manage a comprehensive marketing plan for launches, promotions and campaigns, and generate on-brand concepts, content and designs for all marketing vehicles.
    • Implement process efficiencies internally to manage multiple deadline-driven package design projects.
    • Cultivate and manage working relationships with external partners; package design agency and vendors.
    • Participate in product selection and innovation.

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • 5+ years of experience in private label marketing, food marketing, shopper marketing, brand management or product development, or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
    • Understanding of how to represent both retail and consumer brands across a variety of communication channels.

     

    ·        3-5 years of Brand Strategy, Private Label, or Key Account Management experience with documentation of success

    ·        Strong negotiation and persuasion skills required

    ·        Excellent written and oral communication

    ·        Ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals

    ·        Ability to work independently, multi-task and must be highly organized.

    ·        Ability to travel for business needs when necessary (some overnights and weekends required)

    ·        Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    ·        Ability to take analytical data and create & present business plans

    ·        Exceptional presentation skills

    ·        A go-getter attitude with a strong desire to succeed

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    ·        BA/BS Degree required
