Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement and compliance with industry regulations. This is a vital role in our organization, as accurate billing is essential for maintaining financial stability and providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, DRG) for billing purposes
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, identifying and resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing inquiries or disputes
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
• Stay updated on industry changes, coding guidelines, and reimbursement policies

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical billing or coding required
• Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
• Familiarity with medical records and documentation requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
