We offer sports programs for boys and girls ages 3-14 in today’s most popular sports like flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball and t-ball.

    About the Job

    The i9 Sports Flag Football Instructor/Official is responsible for enhancing the overall experience for the i9 Sports Flag Football league. As a member of our team you will officiate programs for age groups between 5-14 years old. You will also be responsible for assisting our volunteer coaches each week with practice drills and activities to ensure a positive, dynamic, and effective instructional experience is delivered. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skills levels.

    This is a weekend only position. We have venues that offer Flag Football in Leesburg, Ashburn, Reston, & South Riding.

    Fall Flag Football: Saturdays - Sept 7th to Oct 26th

    Key Responsibilities:

    Instruction and Skill Development:

    Teach young athletes the fundamental skills and techniques of Flag Football.

    Implement age-appropriate drills and exercises to enhance players' Flag Football abilities (Practice plans created and provided by i9 Sports).

    Provide constructive feedback to help players improve their performance.

    Complete mandatory pre season training sessions (Financially Compensated)

    Game Officiating:

    Serve as an official for youth Flag Football games, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules.

    Maintain a professional and unbiased demeanor while officiating games.

    Address rule violations and conflicts with fairness and diplomacy.

    Safety and Supervision:

    Ensure the safety of all participants during practices & games.

    Supervise and manage groups of young athletes, maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

    Address any safety concerns promptly and appropriately.

    Communication:

    Maintain open and effective communication with parents, participants, and fellow staff members.

    Provide updates on program activities via Connecteam.

    Address questions, concerns, and feedback from parents and participants professionally.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience coaching or playing Flag Football.

    Knowledge of Flag Football rules and regulations.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and parents.

    A passion for youth sports and the development of young athletes.

    Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

    Availability to work each weekend of the given season Spring, Summer, etc.)

    Ability to efficiently solve problems

    Ability to motivate and manage others (i.e. coaches)

    Extremely reliable and responsible

    Must be 16 years of age or older

    Must have own vehicle/reliable transportation

    Must be able to pass background check
