    Job Title: Sports Coordinator

    Job Summary

    The Sports Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for parents, players, and coaches. You’ll lead by example, working with everyone from the field to the sidelines to ensure a positive, fun, and exciting atmosphere. This role requires hands-on involvement in practices and games for all age groups and skill levels.

    You’ll be responsible for observing, assessing, and coaching volunteer coaches, ensuring the delivery of the i9 Sports experience. You’ll also manage game day operations and collaborate with officials to maintain a fun and organized environment. We believe in fun, encouragement, and professionalism, and as a Sports Coordinator, you’ll embody that.

    Responsibilities:

    Empower Volunteer Coaches: Train and guide coaches to lead practices that focus on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.

    Teach & Demonstrate Core Values: Instill sportsmanship values and coach sport-specific plays designed by i9 Sports.

    Supervise Game Day Operations: Oversee the operation of designated sports, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time.

    Collaborate with Officials: Work with game officials on coverage and process improvements to maintain high standards of play.

    Provide Positive Leadership: Maintain a positive attitude and deliver superior customer service to all participants.

    Step in as Needed: Act as a substitute coach for teams when needed, ensuring no disruption to the program.

    Report to Program Directors & Site Coordinators: Communicate and work closely with management to improve the overall experience.

    Qualifications:

    Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with kids, parents, coaches, and staff.

    Sport-Specific Knowledge: Experience in coaching or knowledge of sports like flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, or T-ball (preferred, but not required).

    Leadership Skills: A self-starter who can work independently and take initiative to solve problems and enhance the experience.

    Safety Awareness: Ability to take charge and ensure the safety of players and participants at all times.

    Positive & Professional: Maintain a positive attitude and build strong relationships with staff and volunteers.

    Commitment: Available Most Saturdays from 7 AM to 2 PM to run the program.

    Reliable Transportation: Must own a vehicle and be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs. to set up sports equipment.

    Schedule & Availability:

    Saturday Program: Year-round, from 7 AM to 2 PM (with a few weeks off between seasons).
