    JAVASCRIPT/REACT DEVELOPER, SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

    Lifesize is looking for an experienced developer to join our client software development team in Austin. This team is responsible for the development of our customer facing web based UIs as well as our React based Mobile, Desktop, and endpoint apps.

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • You’ll develop cutting edge web/desktop/and mobile interfaces; from concepts through requirements, use cases, implementation, unit testing, and on through live deployment.
    • You’ll write readable, well-tested JavaScript and TypeScript code in a team of engineers who are working to continuously improve the codebase.
    • You’ll work with developers, designers, and product managers in a collaborative agile environment to deliver product improvements on an ongoing basis.
    • You’ll solve high priority customer issues and get fixes deployed with a fast turnaround time.

    ABOUT YOU:

    3+ Years Commercial/Enterprise Software Development 1+ Years Modern JavaScript (ES6+) 1+ Years React/Redux

    IDEALLY, YOU WILL…

    • Be adept at delivering working UIs from wireframes and detailed acceptance criteria.
    • Understand the redux pattern including where and how to apply it.
    • Be fluent in JavaScript build tools like Webpack, Babel, CSS preprocessors, and unit testing frameworks like Jest.
    • Be capable of driving towards a goal independently and proactively solving problems with minimal oversight.
    • Have experience in architecting single page data-driven applications and developing efficient and maintainable solutions.
    • Have excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for fixing customer issues.
    • Be adaptable enough to work between multiple projects and technologies within a condensed time frame.
    • Be comfortable working with Git in a continuous integration environment.
    • Offer constructive feedback during code reviews as well as positively receiving and executing on the feedback offered by others.
    • Have at least a basic understanding of databases and servers with a desire to learn more.
    • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical co-workers.
    • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent real world experience with a firm grasp of Software Engineering/Computer Science fundamentals.
