    Job Summary: Be a part of an innovative team and culture…National Geographic Wild’s development team (aka Team Nature) manages the creation and development of original Natural History series and specials across Nat Geo-branded linear and streaming platforms. From the Pets and Vets on Nat Geo Wild and visually stunning blue-chip programs like “America’s National Parks” on NGC to Emmy Award-winning series “Secrets of the Whales” on Disney Plus, National Geographic’s Team Nature development team works with best-in-class content creators and experts to curate and bring incredible stories from the natural world to our audiences. Responsibilities:A Day in the Life…By working directly with the executives on the Development Team, this internship will give students a thorough understanding of the creative development processes for both series and specials that air on National Geographic Wild, National Geographic Channel, and Disney Plus.Intern will help create & maintain select data bases, organize pitches, research topics and create a bi-weekly update of current popular content across broadcast & streaming platforms. Intern will review incoming pitches and provide editorial feedback to the Development Team.Additional specific projects will emerge over the course of the internship based upon students’ areas of interest.Basic Qualifications:What we are looking for…Basic knowledge of television productionStrong oral and written communication skillsAnalytical and organizedAbility to handle and prioritize simultaneous projects and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgmentProficient in the use of MS Office Suite and KeynoteIntellectual curiosity and desire to learnPreferred Qualifications:Some knowledge of Photoshop and presentation software a plusRequired EducationCurrently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship ProgramPreferred EducationCandidates in their Junior or Senior year Additional Information:At least 18 years of ageUnrestricted work authorizationCandidate must be available full-time (40 hours/week) from June 6th through August 19thAbility to provide own relocation, housing and transportation.
