  • Responsibilities

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities       

    • Advanced practical understanding of well repair procedures and the ability to understand and properly react to unforeseen well problems
    • For rods, pumps, tubing, and casing
    • Ability to supervise multiple employees and third party contractors on the completion of wells and repair work on wells
    • Supervise Production Techs on their wells analysis maintenance and downhole problems
    • Good knowledge of proper well control and proper safety procedures and practices
    • Working knowledge of fishing procedures and tools
    • Knowledge of wireline procedure SL and EL
    • Good understanding of artificial rod pumping and downhole pumps
    • Understanding of dynamometer and fluid level analysis
    • Ability to understand and implement company invoicing codes and approvals
    • Oildex software
    • Ability to generate reports and tallies
    • Wellview software
    • Knowledge of gas lift and ESP artificial systems, sucker rod lift systems, flowing wells, and capillary strings
    • Ability to recommend changes in production operations based upon operational knowledge
    • Confer with Production Superintendent and Production Engineers for implementation

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 8 years related experience required
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random alcohol and drug screening
    • Ability to pass a fit test
    • Current BOP certification with work over, coiled tubing, slickline and electric line

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
    • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
    • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
    • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions
    • Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance
    • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges
    • Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects
    • Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities
    • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate
