  • Responsibilities

    Available Shifts: A Shift (Day): Sun-Tues + every other Wed 5:00am-5:30pm Enable next generation of diode lasers and fiber lasers through process development and supporting transition from concept to high volume manufacturing. Drive continuous improvement activities in a manufacturing environment of released products, support production and coordinate effectively with a wide range of cross functional groups. Be the first line of defense to address in-line product, process, and equipment issues. Includes basic trouble-shooting of product and equipment in addition to preventative maintenance on process equipment. May assist with operator training, performing engineering experiments, gathering, analyzing and summarizing data, then reporting out.

     Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated ability to think logically and critically
    • Good mechanical skills
    • Good computer skills (MS Office family, especially Excel)
    • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across organizations (Operations, Engineering, QA, etc.)
    • Experience with computerized data-tracking desirable (ERP and MRP)
    • Two or more years in a high-tech factory (i.e. electronics or semiconductor fab) highly desirable
    • AA degree in a technical field or equivalent manufacturing experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in a science desirable (Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, etc.)
    • Formal Apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
    • CPR, First-Aid, ERT training a plus

    • Assist with quality Issues
    • Calibration Coordination
    • Intermediate Equipment troubleshooting/escalation
    • MPI updating and notification of inaccuracies
    • Litmos course creation
    • Deviation rollout/monitoring
    • Basic Technical issues (station/computer)
    • Engineer experiments/qualifications
    • Coordination of equipment moves
    • Specified Preventive Maintenance
    • Job Safety Analysis including ergonomics
    • Torque/UV Calibration monitoring
    • Gold Standard monitoring
    • Equipment/Process improvements
    • Operator tools/equipment/5S
    • Weekly IPQC (In Process Quality Control) Audits
    • Quarterly ESD Audits
    • Quarterly Contamination Audits
    • Process Training
    • MOM/AX error resolution
    • 5S/Kaizen/Lean events and compliance
    • Process Improvements
    • OCAP (Out of Control Action Plans)
    • Line walk of production process
    • Data collection and report generation

     

    Essential Physical Abilities:

    • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with the public and other employees on the telephone and in person;

Ability to do repetitive work for a minimum of 10 hours per day.
