Job Description

We are looking for an Automation Engineer III specializing in Python and/or Java ** __** to join our Team. In this role, you will ensure the reliability and excellence of our software products through automated testing. Their primary responsibility will be developing test automation suite for various custom-built applications and vendor products, writing test automation, and ability to test application functionally according to specifications.

This is an on-site position and will be a W-2 hourly, 12-month contract with a possible extension.

The hourly rate is $55/hr. – $58/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, training, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
• Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, and test execution.
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
• Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business. Documents all problems and assists in their resolution.
• Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed.
• Codes, tests, and documents new or modified Machine Learning systems to create robust and scalable applications for a broad set of clinical use cases.
• Designs and builds relational databases for data storage or processing.
• Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar or equivalent work experience.
• Typically has 5 to 8 years of systems development, testing, and/or business experience.
• Comfortable working with various programs such as AngularJS, CSS, HTML, Java, .NET, NodeJS, Ruby, and SQL.
• Proven record of using design docs, in-line comments, code reviews, and testing strategies to write and maintain high-quality code.
• 4+ years of experience working on Linux/Unix and open source platforms and/or Cloud native systems in a DevOps setup.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with scripting and/or development as it relates to automation using Python.
• Having experience in writing functional test cases, and integration test cases.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Excellent in troubleshooting application and network-related issues.
