We are looking for an Class 8 truck Mechanic to work on a small fleet of refuge trucks. The specific duties of an assistant include,

Daily truck inspection both pre inspection and post inspections.

Preform miscellaneous repairs assisting mechanics.

Ensure the trucks are clean,

Tires meet DOT requirements.

Top up all fluids,

Checks lights are all working.

Other duties could include site maintenance of inground waste containers, located in the upper state.

Responsibilities

Ensure all maintenance is carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

Improve the preventive maintenance, process

Purchase materials, to maintain trucks ( Oil, Coolants, Hydraulics )

Coordinate tire repairs.

Skills

Proven work experience as an assistant mechanic or similar role

Knowledge of trucks and equipment maintenance

Light Welding would be a asset

Some electrical work . Clearance lights , replace fuses )
