JOB DESCRIPTION: REGIONS CORPORATE BANKING EMERGING TALENT PROGRAM The Regions Corporate Bank Emerging Talent Program is a career-launching program for analyst positions in Regions' Corporate Bank which includes a comprehensive suite of investment banking, corporate finance and capital markets capabilities. Analysts in the Corporate Bank will have a placement option in one of three areas: Specialized Industries, Corporate Banking, and Capital Markets. The Analyst position is focused on providing analytical support to the origination and execution efforts of senior professionals. Analysts will work on transactions that provide exposure to various client industries and banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, derivatives, debt and equity placement, refinancings, dividend recapitalizations, acquisition financing and leveraged buyouts. The Analyst Development Program begins with an intensive six-week training course. During this time Analysts will develop relationships with peers from across the Corporate Bank while participating in classroom instruction from experienced Regions bankers and outside consultants on financial accounting, corporate finance, credit analysis, financial modeling, valuation and more. Although day to day responsibilities will vary based on group placement, the primary responsibilities of the Analyst role include:

    • Compiling market data and performing in-depth industry and company specific research
    • Providing fundamental credit analysis (including industry research, qualitative and quantitative company performance, financial statement analysis, and comparable transaction information)
    • Conducting and assisting in due diligence
    • Preparing pitch books, presentations and other client materials
    • Drafting internal and external transaction-related materials
    • Creating and analyzing detailed financial models and valuation information

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics or a Masters of Business Administration
    • Invited to and attended to the Corporate Bank Emerging Talent Program Information Session
    • Past relevant experience preferred (i.e. summer internship)

Primary Responsibilities:

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree with proven record of high achievement
    • Business major preferred with coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
    • Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Past relevant experience preferred (i.e. summer internship)
