THE ROLE: Xylem seeks a Senior Strategic Account Manager to develop and
maintain relationships with strategically important large customers,
specifically focused on the EPC, Oil & Gas and Mining Industries.
Assigned to three to five identified customers, this position will
be responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account
(global and regional) objectives and represents the entire range of
company products and services to assigned customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key
personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support,
service, and management resources, in order to meet account
performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic
objectives in assigned accounts
- Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process
that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and
critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an
ongoing basis.
- Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs,
while coordinating the involvement of all necessary
company personnel.
- Enlists the support of sales, marketing, product management,
engineering, operations and all other resources required on an as
needed basis.
- Closely coordinates company leadership and executive involvement
with customer management as required.
- Works closely with Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction
(positive net promoter score) and problem resolution is managed in a
timely manner.
- This position may have direct report staff assigned to support
responsibilities in specific customers.
- Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts.
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
- Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by
company management.
- Completes strategic customer account plans that meet
company standards.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings (positive net
promoter score) that meet company requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES,
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Four year college degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum ten years of strategic sales experience in a business to
business sales environment
- Solid presentation skills with small, large and diverse groups
- PC proficiency, CRM, CPQ and all relative Microsoft Suite products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters of Business and Administration
