    THE ROLE: Xylem seeks to hire a HYPACK Sales Representative. The candidate will be responsible for HYPACK sales primarily in North America, with occasional work outside the US, working directly with clients, agents and manufactures. Responsible for meeting targeted sales goals, driving growth and seeking new opportunities across all product lines. The candidate will be the lead for unmanned systems, including the NEXUS800 drone, for quotes, demonstrations and trade shows. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with influencers and key organizations, including sonar manufacturers.
    • Meet sales profit and budget targets.
    • On-going analysis of competition and appropriate adjustments of plans. Provide monthly reports of industry activities to GM
    • Provide equipment training and installation support when required
    • Attend trade shows and conference as required
    • Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals for various product lines
    • Generate and deliver business forecast
    • Effectively manage expense budget
    • The job is located in Middletown CT.
    • Job applicants that are not located in CT will be expected to be in the Middletown office for the first month of hire, and then average 2 days/week while not on travel.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of HYPACK software, for data acquisition and processing.
    • Knowledge of Xylem products – Sontek, YSI, ISS, for Water Quality, Acoustic Doppler Technology, Currents, Waves, Discharge, Data Collection and Telemetry equipment and applications.
    • Knowledge of hydrography, geology, hydrology, oceanography
    • Minimum five years of direct sales experience in the hydrographic or Oceanographic Market.
    • Skilled with computer programs, including Salesforce.com, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Oracle
    • Demonstrated presentation skills
    • Negotiation and selling skills
    • Four year science degree, related to environmental sciences, geology, or oceanology
    • Ability to lift 30 pounds
    • Effective written and oral presentation skills
    • High level of comfort working with a wide variety of people in a variety of settings
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Follow through on communications and responsibilities
