    The Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University invites applications for an Executive-in-Residence and Director of the Master of Science in Taxation position beginning fall 2018.  The successful applicant will have over 25 years of high-level leadership experience in accounting and taxation (preferably as Tax Partner at a large accounting firm).  Professional licensure is required. He or she will, preferably, hold a Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Analytics, or Business Administration. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from an accredited university also will be considered.  Required professional experience and teaching interests are in all areas of taxation (e.g., partnerships, international, individual, S Corp, policy and procedure, etc.) and financial accounting. Experience teaching tax, designing and implementing professional training programs, and working with tax compliance software is a plus.  Candidate must be willing to engage in course design and management, curriculum review, and new course validation processes.  Candidate must be able to teach evenings, weekends, and online as necessary. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality teaching, mentoring/advising, and service, and to helping the department and the Sawyer Business School develop deeper engagement with the commercial, public, and non-profit sectors throughout Greater-Boston.

    The Sawyer Business School is accredited by AACSB-International and its Department of Accounting and Taxation has supplemental accreditation. Among the programs offered and supported by the Accounting Department are the BSBA with an accounting major, the MSA, the MST, 4 + 1 BSBA/MSA and BSBA/MST programs, and the MBA with an accounting concentration.  Please submit vita, names of three references, and statement of teaching philosophy and interests with application.  POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON FUNDING.
