This Technical Cyber Threat Investigator will play a key role in the
organization by gathering intelligence on and investigating various
types of online threats.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical
investigations into E-Crimes activity, online exploits, member data
scraping, risks, and understanding the threat landscape. This is a great

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate research, gather electronic evidence, and resolve
internal and external issues related to various threats against
LinkedIn and our members.
- Analyze and identify fraudulent activity based on actionable
intelligence leads.
- Effectively recognize threats by performing relevant research and
data analysis.
- Recognize opportunities for addressing fraud issues, risks,
and exposures.
- Collaborate with cross functional groups such as legal, product,
marketing, customer advocacy, and security engineering to enhance
processes, workflows, tools and system functionality.
- Produce high quality detailed documentation to internal and external
parties while managing sensitive or confidential information.
- Attend ongoing industry working groups and trainings on relevant
subject areas.
- Ability to work extended or non-traditional hours on occasion to
support emergency situations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science or other
relevant field.
- 1+ year of experience in one or more of the following areas: fraud
investigations, computer forensics, intelligence collection and
analysis, threat-actor attribution research, audit, risk management
- Experience with web development technologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- E-Crimes investigations and/or intelligence analysis experience.
- Possess an investigative mindset
- JavaScript and HTML programming skills
- Experience with chrome developer tools and firebug.
- Experience with the review and moderation of user-generated content.
- Experience in the development of browser extensions.
- Experience using HTTP proxies such as Burp or Paros as well as
identifying modifications to user agents and DOM inspection.
- Experience with producing high quality detailed documentation to
internal and external customers while managing sensitive or
confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
