    YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL REFEREE - JAN/FEB

    The West Fargo Park District is hiring for Youth Flag Football Referees. We are looking for fun, energetic and knowledgeable people to officiate flag football. Requirements: must have played or officiated football in the past. Knows the basic rules of football. Must be able to recognize penalties and willing to call them. Must be confident and capable of dealing with parents and coaches. Must be confident in making calls on the field. **Must be available from January 6 – February 20 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 5:30pm, 6:45pm & 8:00pm games. 2-9 games a week depending on the schedule. Hiring 4-5 referees. **Flexible with evenings you can work.

    Pay $30/game

    **YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE COORDINATOR- FEB/MAR

    Applicants for this position must have volleyball experience (either playing and/or officiating), and be familiar with High School and USA Volleyball standards. Youth league will be 3rd-6th grade players. The League Coordinator responsibilities will include having equipment ready for league play and practices (balls out, nets set at correct heights, practice plans prepared, etc.), managing coaches, ensuring timely play by teams, returning equipment to storage and performing light cleanup of play area. Ability to create practice plans for practice nights and relay them to your coaches. League coordinator will interact with players at practices and during games. Paid for prep time. Must be able to work 5:00-8:15pm. Monday and Tuesday evenings February-March. Winter session is from February 10-March 25. Flexible on what session you can work. Must be 18 and older to apply.

    Pay scale $16.00-$18.00 per hour.

    YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE COACH - FEB/MAR

    You will be coaching youth grades 3rd-6th. Coaches will be responsible for assisting League Coordinator with team practices. Coaches will be responsible for all aspects of practice and game play. During matches coaches from each team will take turns to ref a game. Must have knowledge of volleyball and some volleyball reffing. Must be able to work 5:15-8:15pm. Monday and Tuesday evening February-March. Winter session is from February 10-March 25. Must be 16 and older to apply.

    Pay $15.00-$17.00 per hour

    **YOUTH TBALL/BASEBALL COACH- MAR/APR

    Individuals must be at least 16 years of age or older. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth baseball and tball practices/games for ages 5-9 year olds. Individuals must possess good public relation skills with children and parents. Complete knowledge of baseball rules and the ability to lead practice or drills and coach games with enthusiasm. Hours are Saturday mornings March 1-April 12 from 9:00am- 1:30pm inside turf area at Rustad Recreation Center.

    Pay $15.00-$17.00 per hour



    ** ADULT VOLLEYBALL OFFICIAL- FALL/WINTER

    Applicants must have played volleyball in the past or are currently playing or refereeing and are familiar with high school rules and USA Volleyball standards of play. Applicants will be required to interact with the public on an on-going basis in the role of a referee (players and public), officiate games in a fair manner, demonstrates extensive knowledge of the rules, and interacts with players, league coordinator, and spectators in a respectful and cooperative manner. Officials will work closely with the league coordinator to ensure player and spectator satisfaction and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and league coordinator. **Must be able to work either or both seasons. Winter Season: Wednesday evenings from February 5-end of April from 7:00-10:00pm and Thursday evenings from February 6-end of April from 7:00-10:00pm. Flexible hours and weeks. **Tournaments available to officiate on January 11 & 12 & April 13 & 14. Must be 18 and older to apply.

    Pay $25 per match.

    **_SKATING INSTRUCTOR (HOCKEY & FIGURE SKATING INSTRUCTORS NEEDED) - SEPT 2024-MARCH 2025- will hire in the middle of season

    ****Applicants should have previous ice-skating experience and feel comfortable leading/assisting classes for youth ages 3-Adult. This includes supervising participants on the ice, demonstrating skating skills, assisting with planning lessons as needed, and evaluating participants' skills. Instructors will be responsible for providing a safe and fun environment that promotes the sport. WFPD follows the Learn to Skate USA program. Will need to complete the Learn to Skate Certification online once hired and WFPD will pay for this certification. (Will need to renew yearly) September 25-March 8 on Wednesdays from 5:45-8:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00-10:30am. Hours, days & seasons are flexible. Also looking for subs. Lessons are at Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave E West Fargo.

    SPORTS SAMPLER COACH - JANUARY 6-16

    Must have experience working with youth. Instructors will lead youth ages 3-6 in a variety of indoor sports and activities, with an emphasis on having fun and teaching the basics of different sports. Activities include, but are not limited to: basketball, baseball, soccer, football, tag, and other games. Must be at least 16 years of age. See program dates/times below.

    Pay $15.00-16.00 per hour

    Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays, 4:30-7pm

    BASKETBALL FOR BEGINNERS COACH - DECEMBER/JANUARY (2 Sessions)

    Must play or have knowledge of basketball and experience working with youth. Instructors will lead drills and teach basic skills of basketball for youth ages 4-7. Must be at least 16 years of age. See program dates/times below.

    Pay $15-16 per hour

    Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4:45-7pm (December 16-19)

    YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE COACH - JANUARY-FEBRUARY

    Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth soccer games and instructing drills. Individuals must possess good public relations skills with children and parents. Knowledge of soccer rules is preferred.

    Pay $15-16 per hour

    Hours: Saturdays 9am-12:30pm (January 4-February 15)
