Lands' End

I felt extremely supported by everyone in my department (DC building 6). They did an excellent job making me feel included and I quickly blended in with the culture there. I was given enough freedom with the projects I received to generate my own solutions, learn from mistakes etc. but at the same time I was given all the tools and support necessary to succeed. I felt that was a perfect balance as I was able to effectively learn this way while at the same time never felt overwhelmed and knew that if I had a question, I could reach out at a moment’s notice. I was able to make lasting friendships with many of the other interns as well, and as someone who isn’t exactly sure what I would like to do career wise I really appreciated the cross functionality of the end group project. It was a new challenge that really excited me, and it was awesome that it had so much meaning with the company as well. Being captain of the final project gave me a sense of what it would be like working corporate and how different business sectors work together when it comes to big projects. This was a huge learning experience for me because it taught me that everyone needs to come together and agree on a solution.
