Business Development Assistant

• Assists in the management of DoSomething's current campaigns / sponsor relations. • Assists in drafting proposals with potential partnership ideas • Brainstorms new marketing and outreach ideas. • Contributes to compiling news stories for The Breakdown, DoSomething's current events newsletter • Reconciles monthly expenses for the Business Development department as well as other departments when necessary • Assisted in event planning of our annual Spring Gala • Assisted in the hiring process of Summer Interns • Collaborate with internal departments on other projects and assignments as needed • Administrative work - drafting research briefs, maintaining spreadsheets, scheduling meetings etc. • • DoSomething.org is the largest tech-focused organization for young people and social change. Our digital platform is activating 6 million young people (and counting!) to create offline impact in every US area code and in 131 countries Our global members tackle issues in a wide variety of cause spaces. We hope to create a generation of doers, a generation of civically-engaged, socially-conscious people! The Business Development team is responsible for creating and cultivating relationships with new and existing corporate partners to support our national cause campaigns that activate young people nationwide around social change.
